August 2005 - NEWSLETTER

Dear Cross Stitchers,

Hope you are enjoying the sunshine. It has certainly brought the holiday makers out in force here in Penzance. Even I've been able to take advantage of a few days camping with the children in Sennen whilst Joy has held the fort.

What a busy month we are having with our first two shows to prepare for (see dates & venues below). We really look forward to meeting some of our customers face to face, so if you are at the G-Mex or NEC please do come along and say hello.

New Arrival

I am very proud to say that since I last wrote I've become a Great Aunt (my brother is a few years older than me!). Lorraine & Simon have called their little boy 'James Morgan'.

I stitched a 'J' on to a small drawstring bag. The teddy is a TY Beanie Bear called 'Hawthorne' I put a Blue Ribbon round his neck to match the teddy in the cross-stitch.

This makes an idea gift for a new baby as a single letter doesn't take too long to sew and it is something they will be able to use for years to come.

New Designs

We are now proud to introduce the Mums and Dads range - we have a Golfer, Angler and Iceskater.

These are the first of many Adult figures Joy will be designing. They are all orders that we have received, all we ask for is an extra £10 towards the cost of designing and we will design a figure of your choice to your specifications. Then the character is added to our bank of figures.

We hope to have all our new designs on the web site very soon.

As usual you have the choice of 14/18 count cream aida or 28 count cream evenweave.

A small tote bag kit with a name, depicting a friend or relatives hobby would make a lovely gift and ideal for any age.

Names can be in upper or lower case.

Gents lettering is in - DMC 355 Brown Red

Ladies lettering is in - DMC3722 Rosebush Pink.

Mad about trains!

Redford is mad about trains. When we were asked to design a name sampler for him we rose to the challenge.

Poor Redford is looking a little puzzled he is left with three straight pieces of track to go round the bend to make a figure of 8 and to top it all 'Eric' the cat is walking over the track too, as cats do!

If you are looking for a special gift that is really personal and different please let us know.

We have lots of ideas!
